Breaking News: Beth Earns MACH3
Beth showed she still has "the stuff" by getting her MACH 3 on 9/18/2011 at the Bell Vernon agility trial in Oak Harbor WA. Beth will be turning 8 at the beginning of November 2011 and was heart clear at the end of September 2011. As well as agility she enjoys snuggling with her son Granger and daughter Minnie.
Minnie Wins USDAA 2011 NW Regional GP

Minnie had a good showing at the 2011 USDAA NW Regionals at the beginning of July 2011 by taking first place in the Grand Prix. Minnie is finishing her Advanced Titles in USDAA and is in Excellent B in AKC. She has qualified for the AKC National Championships in Reno Nevada in March 2012.
Bella Takes 7th Place in World Team Tryouts
It was a bit of a nail-biter but Bella got her qualifying scores just a month before World Team tryouts. We booked our flights to MInnesota and practiced. Luckily we'd been practicing some International style courses prior to the event so the challenges weren't a complete shock. As you can see from this video there were no easy courses so I'm proud that Bella managed to come in near the top of the field in he 18" class against a lot of seasoned competitors. We enjoyed the event and hope to be back again next year.
Maya Earns Her PACH
Maya earned her last big AKC agility title on March 30 2011. After attaining MACH 7 at the 12" jump height on August 30 2009 she retired from championship events. After that she competed less frequently at the 8" jump height in the Preferred classes and Performance in USDAA. For her PACH she attained 20 double qualifying scores in the Excellent B Preferred class.
Bella Goes to the 2010 AKC Agility Invitational
After taking a break in 2009 it was nice to be back at the AKC Agility Invitational in Long Beach California in December 2010, this time with a Pumi rather than a Cavalier. This was Bella's first big competition. She turned in 2 great runs, qualified in another and took one off course for the tournament. Bella did well flying on the plane for the first time and enjoyed being my only dog for the weekend.
Minnie and Granger go to the beach and other agility updates September 2008

Minnie and Granger are growing up. These are the 2 puppies we still have from the Beth and Denzil litter. Minnie (formerly Minx) sitting on the left at around 11.5 pounds is slightly bigger than her brother Granger but they still have a lot of catching up to reach their mother Beth. They are now nearly 5 months old and seasoned travellers around the dog agility circuit. This picture was taken at the beach on a beautiful September weekend on the north part of Whidbey Island, where we were at an agility trial. Our friend Ken Kennedy was gracious enough to try out his new camera with these two. See Minnie's page for more information about what's she's currently up to. See Granger's page for additional pictures and his latest happenings. All the dogs have been enjoying their agility trials over the summer and early fall. See Beth's page for her comeback run. Bella has her debut runs posted and Zoe shows her stuff in 26" excellent jumpers. Maya earned MACH 6 over the Labor Day weekend. Look for the video soon.
New Pictures of Puppies Posted September 2008
The Beth and Denzil litter have now been in their new homes for a couple of months. We now enjoy photos and updates of their latest exploits from their new owners. Tilt (formerly Green) now lives in Michigan with a number of performance Cavaliers, German Shepherds, and even a Golden Retriever. Oh and there's a human family too who are helping her learn obedience and agility fundamentals :-) See Tilt's page for new photos. Diana (formerly Red) is now in southern California where she enjoys daily walks to the coffe shop and is beginning to experience life at agility trials on the weekends. Diana's page also has new photos. Fiona (formerly White) is here in Washington state so we see her quite often.
Beth and Denzil litter arrived on May 5 2008!
The litter from MACH Crestrail Bold Encounter RN and Ch. MACH Wystar He Got Game C-CDX,C-RAE,CDX,RAE,NF have arrived. We believe this may be one of the first Master Agility Champion to Master Agility Champion breedings for Cavaliers. After keeping us waiting all weekend, Beth delivered her 5 puppies around 9 am on May 5. First dog to arrive was a black and tan male. I don't think there was any accident that he arrived first as he's been a great eater so far. He was followed by 3 lovely ruby girls and then our last puppy was a little black and tan girl. Mom and puppies are doing great so far. See our puppy page for more pictures and information about the sire and dam.
Bella wins Best of Opposite in PumiFest Sweepstakes April 2008 | Bella entered her first show at the end of April 2008 at the Pumi National Specialty in Salem Oregon. As well as fitting the bill as agility demo dog for the Pumi agility seminar she also got to try out walking around the ring and standing on the table. With the expert grooming help from Chris Levy we were able to take Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes. Bella says it was so much fun she'd like to try it again. See additional pictures on Bella's page. |
